| Native Bush Food Production and Processing |
iSustainable has grown into a multi faceted business offering a number of services
that provide common sense options for business, corporate and government to help them implement change in the way they do
business. On a social level, Indigenous business that are certified with AIMSC and providing work and career possibilities
for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can help break the welfare cycle and give new hope to the long term
unemployed. Environmentally, businesses will need to find ecologically sustainable options for their businesses, whether
it be installing an energy monitoring system that can help companies reduce their costs by reducing their usage or installing
a corporate veggie patch for employees to enjoy and recycle their waste products while learning about sustainability.
Economically, it will be wiser to abate or reduce emissions as much as possible prior to the carbon tax being implemented, in
the future continuing efforts to develop and implement new practices that can reduce energy consumption costs and
educate management and staff on energy usage behaviour.

| New Food Production Methods |
In the future every one on the planet will need to play a part in helping
the earth recover its biodiversity, eco system services and soil and water integrity by implementing practices that help
reduce carbon dioxide emissions in to the atmosphere and soil erosion byprotecting our precious top soil that grows
our food. Climate change whether you believe or not is affecting us with extreme weather events and uneven rain distribution
that has delivered annual rainfall in some countries in a matter of weeks while other parts of the same country suffers from
record breaking drought. Severe storms resulting in tragic loss of lives and climate refugees unable to remain
in their homes through lack of infrastructure and utilities continue to plague the world indiscriminately. This global
environmental symptom has and will continue to have an impact on food production systems as major crops of wheat and
rice repeatedly fail and topsoil is eroded and drained of fertility.
With many years experience in management, retail, food, landscaping and maintenance it would have been easier
to continue with one of our core skill sets and just slipped into mainstream business. Always passionate about the environment
and teaching others about growing food to live more sustainably Jasmin has been developing programs to help
increase knowledge and awareness on domestic food production. After studying horticulture, permaculture and with experience
in landscaping Jasmin has been actively involved in several community gardening groups and in 2010 participated in The
Red Cross Food Security Forum in Alice Springs giving a presentation on Urban Food Growing. Currently, Jasmin is studying
at the University of Sydney a Bachelor in Environmental Systems which is a degree that prepares graduates in the areas of
climate change, water, food security and carbon emissions.
"Our greatest asset is change but it is the one that we resist the
most. We must look at changing our behaviours before we are forced to. Applying new innovations to use the resources
we currently have and our abundant waste streams to grow food, create soil, conserve fresh water and make clean
energy. As we arrive at the era of peak everything these are not simply themes of retro science fiction
movies though some inspiration might come from the dreaming the impossible - a world free of hunger and prosperous
united communities. My goal is to help provide sustainable, real solutions for individuals, businesses and government
that will help us continue to survive on the planet without compromising the environment." message from CEO of iSustainable
- Jasmin.
